Sup buds lol
here's the update for today

Got the front installed, grinded the edges on the brackets round
and should have them painted tomorrow in red and the brace polished up

I think it came out alright ,the holes i made on the brackets aren't perfect but they work just fine
dont mind the rusty tops of my struts

Couldnt get the rear one to work so i installed my stock red one in the rear
no need for Don rom brackets. Used a unibit to widen one of the holes on the brace and voila!
It fit perfect on the first strut bolt, i used a 1" metal washer and original nut. the thing feels super firm and solid!

Nicely done! I had my doubts, but for an inexpensive DIY mod, you're coming out ahead AND now have a rear STB! You might be able to sell that rear one you got from the yard and get some money back (try Craigslist first).

And, I have to say, I still like how your current engine cover looks!! Great work!!

Wish I would have known you need a coolant bottle. Once in a while I've seen some in decent/clean shape. I'll keep an eye out if you want and see what I can source (I go junk yarding once in a while, though it gets tough in the winter).
