YEP! a guy in my club did it with his GTO wheels and it looked good! and still have the option of tearing it off, i'd say use adhesive promoter on top of the plastidip,then paint

Have you looked around for a powder coating estimate? The finish will last longer, won't be prone to chipping and it'll be about the same in price as rattle cans + primer. Keep in mind that the more colors go on the rims and the funkier the design, the more $ is going to cost.

i used the spray can, but i did not sand them, and it came out flat, cause it was a flat black paint, and Pep Boys has a can that is gloss, and it looked real good, could go with some more gloss.

Really? I haven't gotten any quotes but I can't imagine that powder coating 4 wheels is going to cost less than $50 which is about how much the paint will cost. Plus I have no idea where the closest powder coater is. Probably not close, so then I'd hav to drive too.

I would be very happy with it powder coated black and a polished lip though!
