Default P255 50 R16 Tires fit my 2003 Monte SS?

Will Corvette tires (P255 50 R 16) fit my factory rim on my 2003 Monte SS? Or will a Corvette Rim & Tire fit my 2003 Monte SS (REAR ONLY).
THANKS

The rims will not fit, bolt pattern isn't even close. Offset is also likely an issue as RWD and FWD are generally pretty different.

As for the tires, that's tough to say. They're shorter but a good bit wider. Certainly 255s have been run on that width wheel, but IMO thats pushing it a bit. Unsure if the tire will hit anything as I don't have a 6th gen.

IMO I'd just buy tires that are the right size to start with.

Thanks, I'm just wanting a wider rear tire without changing rim diameter. I wonder if 245 would be a better fit. I have 225 on it now. Somewhere else in here a guy says 255's will fit the rim and the wheel well, just wanting a second opinion.

There are also options for wider wheels if you want a wider tire on thr same diameter.

I am curious, why the want for wider rear tires on FWD? Just seems like people either stick equal all around or narrower in the back to balance the handling out a bit so its not a common request.

I wonder if 245 would be a better fit.
One option would be to look up the tire manufacturer's website to see what approved rim widths are listed. If youre outside the reccoemndations, then I wouldnt do it.

They'll definitely fit the wheels, 255s have been done before. Hard part with internet reccomendations is you've got no idea how it was used. What works for putting around in a daily driver could catastrophically fail on a road course (or when performing an emergency maneuver).

Thats why I think its important to stay within the tire manufacturer's reccoemndations.

I have a 87 and am needing to get some drag slicks and wheels. Will I definitely dislike 15x8 weld drag lites with 3.5" deleting and 28x10.5x15 Mt's? Is there a graph or some data some place with the sizes I'm restricted to? Much appreciated.
