Default Tire width possibilities for 2003 Monte Carlo?

I'm looking at putting new rims on my car once it is out of the body shop and I was wondering what width will fit on it. I have 225 on it at the moment but I want to go wider. I think 245 would fit but I'm curious on what widths will fit with out too much rubbing in the wheel well. Any ideas?

I have 255 35 20s on mine. The tire is 10 inches wide no rubbing what so ever front or rear

Before I put any bigger rims or tires on it I'm going to have to replace my rear wheel bearings. They are both shot after I whipped it into the sand at 120mph at the track a couple weeks ago.

255/45/18 on mustang rims for both cars. the monte was lowered with ssc springs. grand prix on stock height. the front will rub on plastic inner wheel well when turning, but with dremel or lightly trim fix the problem. 9" wide on the rim is the biggest you want to go. anything bigger will make the tire stick out like my old 4x4 xj
