Default ODD noise... HELP PLEASE

when is leave my driveway early in the morning i hear a loud clunk when i cut my wheels while backing out. THen when i put it in drive and accelerate i hear it again. Its aways a reverse and drive clunking. I had a hub replaced on the drivers side front and redid the halfshaft grease boots. Could the mechanic have jacked up my suspension/halfshaft. ?????

Tie rod end? If you have lots of play then every time you start in motion (either forward or reverse) the slack is taken up as the wheel pivots slightly.
