Default New Rims & Tires For My "05 M/C

Hi all...I have an '05 Monte CarloLT and im looking into new wheels and tires. The car came with 16" rims with P225/60R16 tires. I would like to know if 18" wheels can be put on without any interference or rubbingor would it be better if i went with 17" wheels?? Also, what would be the best size tires for either rim?? thank you Mike

I have both 17's and 18's. Bigger tires = bigger $.
I had 16's on my '01 SS LE before buying these 18's.
Best combination I've EVER had: 16's w/ Michelin Energy tires. HANDS DOWN! I'm kicking myself for buying these Michelin Pilots ($900), and the 18" BFG GForce KDWS are CHEAP.
Bottom line: The bigger the wheel the bigger the pricetag. Don't go bigger than 18's for drivability. If it's a weekend cruiser, go with 20's like Discomomty's.

18's will fit no problem, you can even get 20's without rubbing now, lately you've been able to buy 20's for almost the same price as 18's now
