4th Gen ('81-'88): Need help on Shocks
So I have a 1987 monte Carlo ss aerocoupe the ride is fine. Pretty good for a 30-year-old car with 50,000 miles. I was looking about it on Amazon and eBay and found some shocks. Two different pairs stood out one being these ACDelco Specialty 519-5 for the rear and ACDelco Specialty 519-32 for the front. And both each are under $80 each that would be 160 total (Seems too good to be true). The other shock was Bilstein B6 for 360 for the whole set. And one more called the KYB Excel-G for like 40 for each shock.
I've been here in a lot of good and the Bilstein B6 and good about the KYB Gas-A-Just (but not much) and I've heard nothing about the ACDelco one and the KYB Excel-G.
I just want to hear some opinions should I upgrade? Does anyone know whats the best shocks/suspension setup is? Has anyone used these ACDelco and KYB Excel-G shocks? Is Bilstein really the best to go for.
I don't wanna spend a lot of money but what's the best for just a better ride than stock. I may want to lower the car like an inch but rn that's on the backburner.
Shocks and the links for them
