Get yourself a newer 6th gen 2000-2005 SS with a 3.8 N/A or supercharged 3.8 and go from there, that 3.1 isn't gonna do much heavy duty/high performance for you. It's a great start but not much performance that your're looking for......

I'm pretty sure what he means is he wants some new rear trac bars and rear subframe. I suggest just getting some new stock parts. Anything more then that is over kill. If you really wanted to I think BMR sells a decent adjustable set up.

I'm with Enzo.

The 3100 is a pretty reliable engine and well maintained will last.

As for the vibrations, sounds like time for a LOT of suspension replacements. As long as the car is not rusted to the point that parts will not bolt up, you should be able to replace with stock parts. New struts/shocks, bushings, ball joints. Just start inspecting what parts are bad and replace them.
