Default lowering

So i want to get lowering springs and stiffer dog bones whats a good set to get and what can i expect to pay to get them installed?

I am currently doing a lowering job to my 00 monte.... here is the list of parts

-SSC lowering springs-$180
-KYB-2 shocks- $220
-new strut plates (optional)-$130
-Shorter dogbones (NEEDED!!)-$30
-Anti pogo washers (NEEDED!!)-$30

Total= $460... optional=$590
-Tools needed= Spring compressor and basic wrenches/ratchet set

They will help you out with any questions!

Also. with my wheels and tires... the total drop should be around 3". Because I have it already lowered but if you have stock tires... expect a 1.75" drop.

would the dog bones work for my 7th gen? i am about to swap out my suspention and dont want to over look some thing

Im not 100% on that one but the reason we need it in ours is at like 50 mph everything starts to shake otherwise...I would assume it would be the same way in the 7th gen, since the body didnt change that much. sorry its not a def answer but thats all I got!

What would cause this exactly?

When you lower the car, it throws off the axle geometery. Shorter dog bones pull your motor forward and get the axle geometery back closer to stock.

Another way to minimize/eliminate vibration due to axle geometry change is to use spacers under the motor mounts to raise the motor/trans back to it's former position, thus forgoing the shorter dog bones which can bring headers closer to the fans(not a good thing).
