Lateral Link Rod? 95 MC Z34
Hello All,
I recently had my tires rotated and was shown that the frontlateral link rod on the driver side rear suspension as bent and needed replacement. I've been having trouble looking for it in auto parts stores. My question is, is there any other names this part goes by. I really would like to save some money instead of having my shop look for it. Please help! My car is a 1995 MC Z34.

my guess would be a rear lower control arm.... but yea i'd want to call it some sort of link at first too...
hears what ya do, go price one at a dealer ship, they'll know what youre talking about. so ask them how much the part is and what the name of the part is.

I know the thread is old- not sure if the OP ever got an answer. Here are the part #s- you can order them from GM or www.gmpartsdirect.com (or you can go to a junkyard and buy good ones off another monte, which would be the cheapest)
Front lateral bars (both sides the same):
soft susp/LS 10227503 $58
firm susp/Z34 10257128 $58
Rear lateral bars (both sides the same):
soft susp/LS 10227504 $57
firm susp/Z3410283874 $58
Also, BMR fabrication makes replacement lateral arms (and trailing arms too) that are much more beefy than stock. They're 1.25" diameter and both bars are adjustable with poly mounts on the ends w/ greasable fittings:
http://www.bmrfabrication.com/W-Body.htm
They are a little pricey though- $400 for all 4 bars.
I have them, and I love them. If you replace all 4 bars from gmpd- you're looking at $240- so its not that much more. Although you can probably get all 4 at a junkyard for under $20 (just have to make sure they're straight)- guess it depends if you're just looking to make it driveable or if you want to upgrade.
