Of course i want a great handling car to go with better acceleration. BMR sells a full kit
that includes front and rear strut tower braces, front and rear lateral arms for rear suspension, and rear control
arms. Has anyone here changed their rear suspension from BMR or other manufactures?
I will be adding the ZZP front and rear solid sway bars with urethane end links and mounts.
But i wanted to see if its worth replacing the rear suspension components.

I've got the BMR lateral & trailing arms. IMO the difference in feel isnt worth the price. Bang for the buck is the worst by far of any Wbody suspension mod. I'd only consider them if you were building a max effort handling car for competitive use and you had literally done every other handling related item first (sways, springs/ struts, tires, weight reduction, etc).

 

So, I have done:
- ZZP front and rear strut braces
- UMI Trailing Arms
- Poly bushings for the front sway bar and Energy Suspension poly end links.
- Moog rear sway bar end links. These are DEFINITELY better than factory (thicker connecting bar).
- Went from 16" wheels to 18" on Kumho tires (now they have Kelly tires on them)

And I think that is all I did suspension wise. I still have the factory front and rear sway bars, factory struts/coils and factory laterals. I recently replaced my lower control arms. I used Dorman ones, which appear as solid as OEM, except they added four small welds around an area that I believe strengthens it. Despite coming loaded, I replaced the ball joints with Moog and the vertical bushing, I removed the rubber one and used a new design Moog offers (works like a ball joint).

Honestly, these are all inexpensive and I think most worth the money. When I first got the Monte, I felt the rear end did not track good when you pushed the car (which is somewhat odd to say of a FWD car). After all of this, I can push the car pretty hard and it sticks at pretty heft speeds and turns. The design of the rear end is pretty good that the BMR gear is a bit much for a street car. You might need the BMR laterals if you wanted to try and drift the car or autocross it (and even at that I still question it).
