8.5 or 9? car is a 2006 monte ss

From my past research.... 22's barely fit as is, so I would think that you would have to stay with the stock width.

 

If your turning radius means anything to you, I'd stick with a 8.5

 

8.5 no bigger on the front if you go bigger you wont turn at all and you will have a ss that can only do straght lines

 

im getting some rims tommrow. i want it to be wide as possiable with it being able to turn. will 8s look too small? any pictures of 22x8 and 245/30 tires?

just curious what rims come in the size 22x8???

im pretty sure if you offset them right and fanagal the wheel wells you could run 9 or 9.5 no problem.

at the stock offset the highest you could go is 8.5.

this is more of a question to be asked to the guy your buying the rims off of.

 

i did. the rims are velocity 750s, really .5 you really cant tell that much. i dont want to do anything with the wheel wells i just want to paint and mount. thanks for the input.

 

I think those are like 1 inch wide. IDK though.
