RE: how do these chrome twenties look?
Like Chris (scc24540), I'm not a fan of huge rims on cars either. On SUV's and trucks is different. I prefer rims that look proportional to the car.
Personally, I like to stick to 18" or less. But 20" would be an absolute maximum without looking freakishly out of proportion, in my opinion.
But about your rims, I like the style. I wouldn't go any bigger though. The stance looks good the way it is. I was going to say the same thing Matt (mrl390) brought up. I don't think you'd be able to lower the car without running into issues. I would think that you probably already have rubbing issues when you hit large bumps now.
Which brings upanother reason I don't like large rims on cars. Because there's such a thin layer of rubber on the rim, they're highly susceptible to getting bent by a pothole. I've seen so many $1000+ rims get destroyed by a pothole, it's not funny.
I like the rims on your car, but I wouldn't lower it if I were you.

personally.. I love 20s!! The Monte Carlo is a bigger car, and hence needs bigger rims. I think they fit well and as long as you don't get carried away with big wide tires, you shouldn't have any major problems with scrubbing..

RE: how do these chrome twenties look?
I thought about going with 20's, the wheels I like the best only came in 20 and 22 sizes. I decided I wanted to try and stay somewhat on the performance/ride side as opposed to looks seems how this is only my first car. I'll save the bigger wheels for any luxury cars I might someday own. As for lowering I don't know, I've always thought that lowering a car when the wheels are over a certain size makes them look off center in the wheel well.
Which ever way you go there are plenty of us on here that'd like to see some more pictures.
