Hey all, new to forum, but have picked up a lot of useful info over the years. I just purchased an '06 SS after having owned both an '03 SS and a '99 Z34. I went to adjust the tire pressure this morning and discovered that the sticker was missing. I still have the '03, so I can look at that, but I'm not sure if the pressures will be the same. Can anyone give me the data for an '06 SS, or maybe take a quick picture and post it? I have searched the internet but haven't found anything. Thank you in advance!

 

They recommend a cold PSI of 30 just like your 03.

You might want to go to about 32-33.

Also you might not know that there is a special procedure for relearning the tire position sensors when you rotate the tires. let me know if you need this.

When you rotate the tires, the sensors are in the valve stem, so when your car says FR and you rotated that tire to LR it doesn't know better. So if the LR was low the car would be saying FR and you would check that tire and assume the computer was wrong.

So you need to relearn the new locations when you rotate the tires.

To do this, using the buttons on your dashboard, scroll to tire pressures, then scroll the submenu until you see relearn, then hit the check (this is from memory from months ago)

This will make the car honk. This puts the car into relearn mode. Now you have to work quickly. Starting with the driver's side front tire, let out air until the horn honks. Then move to the passenger side front tire, let out air until the horn honks. Then go to the passenger rear and let out air until it honks, then go to the driver's side rear and let out air until the horn honks.

This tells the car where the new sensor locations are. You might lose almost 10 PSI when doing this, but that's okay. After the sensors are relearned, just fill the tires back up to the 32 that you started with.

 

I wish I could disconnect mine. I hate it!!

Well I just traded my trusty, hardly used, one owner, 1999 Deville with 120K miles on it for a 2006 STS. It's in very good shape with 68K miles on it.

But, I can't seem to find the 'ole door sticker with all the tire pressure info on it. Did they move it. Or could it be that a previous owner painted it over? The car looks almost too good.
