Default GM performance handling package

GM parts direct has a performance handling package for $135.20. It includes front and rear heavy duty sway bars and a strut bar. Has anyone ordered this? How did it work?

yes, except I ordered mine seperately to get the rear Comp G bar, but this was years ago and I know they have changed the package.

I have the front and rear sways, STB front and back, and trailing arms and it changed the car significantly!!! Well worth the money

I'm assuming the strut tower braces are the same for the front and rear? What trailing arms did you get and from where?

I did some searching and I guess it doesn't work on the 2006+ models.

Yes, you install the STB in the rear i just used the furthest back bolt (if looking into the trunk) and used only one of the two holes on each side of the STB to install it. The holes just need to be inlarged. Thats the cheapest way to install it. You can get brackets to install it, or drill the holes in the strut tower.

From that I have heared the trailing arms are disontinued, but this was the part number that I used... 12498649

this is apearently the GXP Trailing arms 15856683 which should work. I believe they are a boxed tubeular which would still be a better than stock application

really, i know the stbs will work if you want to drill, if you dont want to drill then they make brackets for them.

i heard they do fit, but i havent talked to a dealer. i thought most suspension parts were the same from 2000-07

Something important that I don't think that everyone knows about the GMPP kit. The FRONT sway bar is thicker, BUT it's still HALLOW. What I did was buy the rear GMPP car because it's solid, then I bought the front sway bar from Dorman because its a solid bar. I used my own poly end links in the front and it works great.
