Just an update for this project, guys! I'll be ordering some winter tires tonight and will be putting them on the stock Monte wheels for the '02 SS year which I've made my winter beaters. Any suggestions on winter tires? I live in NJ; would all-season work better?

Tire Rack had a close out on Michelin Xi2 as they released the Xi3 version, I was able to get Discount Tire to match the price, stepped down to 16" for the winter. Haven't had them on yet as it is still warm in MN. Almost any snow tire will make a huge difference, I have had Michelin, Blizzak, and Winterforce. Michelin have been the quietest & longest lasting, but all made a big difference over the all season performance that I have for the summer.
Hope you can find a good deal!

245/35/19s currently. I don't feel that they fill up the wheel well too good. Just feels like it's gotta be dropped a little bit. But perhaps 18s, since they show more tire, would eliminate this "illusion.'
