Ok so my ride came with 22"s all around (P245/30 - R22). OEM rims where not available. Just put new tires all around. Have no mods to the front end and no ribbing on the fenders, wheel Wells or lower strut spring bracket. The rear is a different story. First thing is, the struts are 75% Done! The last guy to own her banged in the lower strut spring bracket, bent it up, to get the wheels in. Then he used spring separators to give a 2" lift so the quarter panels wouldn't rub on big dips or speed bumps. That no work so good with 25% struts! And I know the condition of the struts is a big part of the problem. I can get new struts, a complete assembly w/ springs. But then the wheels will not mount cause the bracket isn't modified. I don't want to Bend anything on a new set of struts! I need struts with 15" between the center of the rims and the lower bracket. That would not only give the wheels the clearance they need, but keep the 2" of lift that gives her the forward motion look that I love. Does anyone know of anyplace that would make or Professionally modify a strut to work with my combo.
I just banged my rear strut too. Not a whole lot but I did some. But that didn't work. So I measured how mic it rubbed in my rear tire and I ordered 1.25" hub centric spacers. They will be here by Friday and rims will be on Saturday. That's the cheapest way to make 22's fit. Mine are 255/30/22.
JOKERS, we almost have the same ride! If I ever figure out a way to extend the rear struts, I without damaging it. I'll be sure to let you know. Where did you get your Hubcentric spacer and do the make a 2" or at least a 1.75" I can get the quarter panel rolled for $300
I got them off of eBay. Check there for the size you need. And is getting mr quarter panels rolled necessary? And what does it look like when they get rolled? I kinda want to get my fenders flared. I think it looks good and it give you more clearance.
