Drums & Rotors with Por-15

It seems every year I have to repaint my drums because they start to rust and flake. I usually used high temp spray paint which is rated to 500 degrees. I recently used Por-15 on another project so I thought I'd give it a try on the rusty brakes to make them look better. The can says it's good up to 600 degrees, so we'll see how it holds up.
No top coat, just por-15 per the directions. So far I did the drums. Turned out real good. I'm going to do the hats and outer rim of the rotors too hopefully soon. Here are some pics of the drums.

Glad to hear they are still looking good!

I'd suggest you top coat them. I always hear that after a while if they are in direct sunlight it can start to fade and turn a purpleish color. I'm sure every application varies though.

Just tell me the POR15 dried over night before popping the rim back on??
The work looks great!! I have confidence it will hold up far better then the paint you used. I somewhat regret I was talked out of using POR15 on my rotor hats by a friend of mine (but admittedly, I also had concerns of braking temp). So far my hats are holding up nice with a black ceramic paint, BUT, they don't get driven in the winter weather, so it helps save them.

I purposely taped the rotor off a little too small so that the paint would get into the area where the pad runs. That way the pad whould wear a perfect circle into the paint and I wouldn't miss any exposed areas.

A couple of days later the paint is all worn off.
