Default Drag Slicks

Am looking for drag slicks P255R45/18's. I have checked M&H, Hoosier, Nitto, Mickey Thompson, Goodyear and BF Goodrich to no avail. Even called Jegs and they could not help. Does anyone know of another manufacturer that makes drag slicks I could try who might make the size I am looking for?

You might have to roll with a different size and just put up with the speedometer being off. What rims do you have? If you really can't find anything contacting all of them I doubt anyone here could be a help. Either that or buy different rims of them like most people do.

I agree with getting light weight wheels to mount slicks to. I know you can't go any taller than 26" tire on stock ride height. If its lowered I don't know. I can't remember maximum width right now. I am running Hoosier drag radials mounted on 17" bullet mustang wheels but am planning on selling them to a buddy and getting drag lights with wrinkle wall slicks.

I have a set of toyo proxis ra1's about 1/4 tread left mounted on 16" v6 mustang wheels I am selling if your interested....

Yea best bet would to get a set of light weight cheap 15's that's what I have my Hoosiers on, then just get a good performance tires for your 18's. You do not want to run slicks on 18's

Will 15's fit over our brake calipers and rotors or do you need to run spacers?

Default drag slicks

The issue I have and I have tried to get both 16" and 17" wheels over my brake rotors and calipers and they just will not fit. I am stuck using my 18" stock 7" aluminum rims. And P255's are the widest I can get on my stock wheels safely and and its the widest tire I can get into the wells with my current suspension.
For the street I have P255/45R x 18 on my stock rims and they fit and clear fine - my goal was to get the same size drag slick - but my hopes seem to be fading.

Turbo Monte - thanks for the offer on the wheels - but I am positive they will not work. Out of curosity does the Mustang have 5 x 115 bolt pattern also?

Have you done the fbody caliper switch SSV? Strange you can't fit even 17's that's what I run my normal daily driving fits np, and well what you can do is a secret I've learned from my gp track buddies. Luckily I have friends that have taken me trailered to the track I never have to drive my car there. The reason that matters is because I have a wheel, tire, and entire brake rotor setup for only for when I am track racing. The secret is forcing an entire gp rotor setup and grinding the caliper. My brake upgrade I will be doing soon is mainly for braking performance in my daily driving and I plan to do other tracks times this year time trials on the non oval tracks.
Imo Braking isn't as important on the quarter to me as being able to fit 15 inch rims

My friend is running bullitts on all 4 corners, 18 inch rims with 275 wide tires on his Grand Prix. I'll see what size they are, maybe they offer slicks in that size.
