Thanks guys. I looked at my car the other day and it looks like the sub box is about an inch higher than the strut towers in the rear. Looks like I have another reason to switch to two 10s

The car does have a rear sway bar, but it looks tiny. I might find a thicker gauge rod and see about bending it to match and swapping it out.

I would recommend doin lots of squats....and slowly go up in weights...lol
That would tighten up a rear end quickly!....

Just kidding....
My montes Z-34 suspension is super tight and I dont have any excessive body roll....

You could just swap your rear sway bar for a factory 06-07 SS rear sway bar. It's the same configuration but the SS uses a beefed up sway bar compared to the LT model.

Also how aggressive do you drive? Solid sway bar compared to hollow. BIG difference.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

I've got Bilsteins on mine paired with lowering springs, they're nice. Definitely recommend them.

Question about this, a bit late...

How hard is this to do, and did you order GM parts or aftermarket?

I've found this front struct tower brace:
1996 - 2006 W-Body | Strut Tower Braces | STB005 - Strut Tower Brace, Front | BMR Suspension - The Leader in High Performance Suspension & Chassis

But I cannot find a rear brace. Any reccomendations?

I used the stock brace on the front & rear ..Maybe after you get that brace you can see if it will work on the rear of your monte.? If not get a stock brace..

I have the ZZP front and rear strut braces. The rear brace is in between the amp rack and the sub box.

Found in another thread... that the front for the W-body fits the '06, and that the GM strut tower brace the same for front and back.

I ordered the Don Rome brackets, and the kit that comes with two stb's for around $120. Just have to go get a torque wrench.
