Default Any mods for wheels

Ok, I have an 06 monte. Are there any mods that need to be done when changing wheel sizes? What about speedometer calibration etc. Does it mess the computer up?

Thanks

Just keep the overall size the same. If you go to a bigger rim, get a smaller sidewall

Ok, thanks, I wasnt thinking anything major, maybe just up to 17's or 18's. Or maybe I can track down a nice 16" wheel and just stay where i am at. Thanks again

You can look online for a size converter. All you have to do is put in your current tire size and the rim size you want to go to and click calculate. works great

What would be the widest wheel/tire you could put on without any mods?

I have 245s on my Monte, I believe some members are running 255, but they might have a spacer too.

Do you have to do anything with the lugs to run spacers? Are they long enough or can you get away with it.

You can probably get away with stockers on a small spacer
