Default 97 black monte carlo looking for new shoes

Hey guys,

im new to this forum and would like to say hi to everyone here.

As a proud owner of a 97 black monte carlo with only 37 K miles on it, i am looking to give a fresh look to my ride as summer is almost there.

I would like to have some suggestions, ideas or even photos. I like the old school look ...the good old ''american racing'' wheel such as the one seen on the black monte up the forum page. Cheers

-Fred

personally i think these are a great buy, nice cheap alternitave to torq thrusts or craigers. and FYI make sure you order the correct bolt pattern, our cars would be the same as a newer 5 lug mustang, i dont remember exactly the pattern though.

to set them off i would look into geting eather red bowtie overlays for the centercaps or mabe the knight's crest logo

these are pretty nice. it is what i am looking for. I think i will go for the all chrome ones. Theres enough black on my car.

Would you go with performance and thin tires or more classic ones such as BFgoodrich with the white letters like this ones:

Imo, it would give a pretty classic-old-school look with the jegs rims you showed me!

I really like the wheels you picked out ryan(skylark65) they look pretty sweet on any monte

I also like the raised white letter look on the tires, great combo to consider....

idk, personally i would go for a set of solid blackwall tires, i really like the BFgoodrich traction T/A rotationals i have on my car, but the raised white letter tires look cool too, especially if your going with the chrome wheels.

i actually found those on accident chris, looking for 4 lug wheels for a friends mustang. i would really like a set of the black ones for my car but idk... not enough $ right now for a set, haha

if you decide to go with decal overlays, check this site http://www.webxtremes.com/chevycentercapdecals.htm

I ordered a set two weeks ago and today I finally got confirmation that the decals have been shipped, so be patient if you do order from there!!!

Sorry for late reply, just added the link to my favorites to remember to do it with my wheels. Thanks for the find .

I am now looking at these presently and hesitating... got more good esthetics comments on thin tires so that would maybe fit better:

I like these! but they both look pretty nice.... and you can also put a chevy bowtie overlay on the center caps!
