Default 4th gen wheel and tire

I have a 84 SS and i am trying to pick out a set of wheels for the car but i am unsure what backspacing i need and width i can run on the car i was thinking about going with American Racing Torq Thrust 2 i am thinking about using a 17x7 on the front and 17x9.5 on the rear but i don't want the front to rub and i am not sure the wheels will fit on the rear and if i can run this set up i am unsure what size of tires to run can any one help me or point in the right direction and i am open to any ideas on the wheels

Hi Jay
I hope the below link helps
Good Luck from Space
You can go to a 17" rim with NO modifications at all. "The stock 4th Generation Monte Carlo SS wheel is 15 x 7", a 5 on 4 3/4" bolt pattern, and 3.75" backspacing." Check out the site below to read more.
