Default 275/60/15 wheels in the rear on my 86 monte ss. will it work please read. thanks

ok figured i woul start a new thread. i just put the american racing 23 wheels on my 86 ss. they are 15x7. i want to go bigger in the rear. i read articles about guys running 275/60/15 in the rear. i was wondering if any body ever or has them on their monte ss. does it work. i also was planning on leaving the stock size tires in front. thanks for the help

I would go much wider wheels in the back. 7 inches wide is way too skinny for a muscle car.

I went with the 255/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 in the front I like the combo they look good. I am going to run these for a bit now because don't have any extra money to spend lol. Then I will get two of same wheels but wider and run the 275/60

I had an 81 regal that I used to run 295/50/15's on and had no issues the car was jacked up in the back end which helped. I did run a really big set of mickey thompson's for a while but the passenger side did end up rubbing on the exhaust pipe when I had a full load of people in the car with stuff in the trunk
