22s and tire size on a 2000 monte?

it depends on how u drive..... and where all u drive your car. i too had tranny problems and paid to have mine rebuilt...
as far as rims/tires tho...i got 245/30/22 on mine.... and i got a lil rub i heard 235's wont rub at all as theyre a lil smaller but again ur gonna have to watch out for potholes and other road hazards
here in st louis we have potholes galore and im constantly swerving and slowing down.... im used to it tho doesnt bother me really but again this is mostly my showoff to the club and sometimes to work car..

would probably be best to get a nice 18". You speedo / stress on the car / brakes don't have as many problems.
but you will probably have to rubberband a 22" and it won't be a comfortable ride.
