Need to know backspacing and wheel width. I don't remember what size the 20" wheel guy use.

245/35R20 and those wheels you will be just fine. Although, with 20's you may or may not have to have the fenders rolled. Anything larger than a 17" wheel you can have the issue of rubbing in the rear.

Naw i have a 00 ss and have run 255/35/20 and never had any rubbing issues...most of the time u get your fenders rolled is if you put some lowering springs on..

With 245/35/20, he won't need to roll the rear fender lips... But if he goes 255/35/20, he'll only rub when he loads the trunk or has someone in the back seat. Personally, i had 245's and hated the space they left; the 255 is much cleaner and practical in my oppinion... With 245, he's gonna break rims tierods and hubs often...

I have 20's with the 245/35/20 tires, 35 offset, 20x8.5, and i'm gonna have to get my fenders rolled. I'm getting a little rubbing in the back when I go over moderate dips in the road or when going up or down steep driveways. It's barely rubbing, hits about an 8th of an inch of the fender lip, but I figure if I get them rolled I can go ahead and put my lowering springs on with no issues
