how close is it? couldnt you just run a thin wheel spacer?

x2 on this, a thin one wouldnt look any different for spacing really between the front and rear

They bolt up tight when the car is jacked up and they dont hit the strut tower at all. Butttt when I drop the jack the bottom of the strut rests on top of the tires. So I don't think a spacer is what I need exactly...

From what I read on other forums you can get the KYB GR2 below. Note you need the one " w/ Special Handling Suspension;" i.e. FFE4 these will allow you to fit the taller tires. Also different valving.. I have not installed this so it might be best to call KYB to confirm.

Definitely doesn't seem like it. It still rides great and doesn't sag when I put weight in the trunk or back seat...

Does this not sound right to anyone else? The relationship between the tire and the strut shouldn't change when weight is applied, unless i am not understanding what is actually happening.

the bottom of the strut plate shouldn't really move at all when lowered..

Okay. The passenger side doesn't move at all when I do this. I can bolt the wheel and tire to the hub and have about a quarter to 3/8 of an inch of space. On the drivers side it starts that way but once I release the jack it is sitting on top of the tire. What could this be? Bad strut??
