Wink 05 question about new wheels

I need to know what happens to the speedometer in an 05 Monte Carlo when you put different size wheels on it. Does the car have a sensor, or do you have to have the speedometer recalibrated? I am looking at a set of 17 inch wheels with lowpro directional tires. They are coming from someone who bought them for a firebird, but he says they won't fit on a rear wheel drive car. He says they are for a gm big bolt pattern, and should work on a front wheel drive car like my Monte. What do you think? I'll try to post pics soon. And if anyone has any wheels for a Monte for sale, feel free to post them if your close to southeastern Ohio, i could be interested. But probly won't drive but maybe an hour and a half for them.

GM big bolt would be cars like the caprices big buicks and Olds cars. The 1/2 ton pickups are also.

I see they already pointed out the wrong bolt pattern but when you do find some rims! On a 17inch rim.. (depending on the tiresize) you wont see any difference.. Im guessing the size is 225/55/17.. It may change but it will be off by a fraction of a mile per hour..
