Good morning guys.
Sunny and low 80s yesterday - we need more days like that on the weekend. I took the day off work yesterday because I blew my back out lifting boat lifts while up North on Sunday - was feeling better later in the day so I got some painting and renovation work done on the house.
Michigan had its first recorded snowfall of this new season early last Friday in the Upper Peninsula. Negaunee (Marquette area) recorded 1.5"+ of accumulation.

Good morning guys. We had some 80s for a couple days and we were out on the boat two nights ago. That's all changing now and we're cooling off quite a bit today. A few hours ago we were in the low 70s and by 9 am we'll be down to 50 degrees and then 38 degrees tomorrow morning. Our high tomorrow is only 49.
Hurricane Michael made landfall in Florida's Panhandle yesterday, between Panama City and Mexico Beach around 12:30 pm, as a strong category 4 storm with 155 mph winds - that's 2 mph less than a category 5 storm. The damage is pretty significant - this is the strongest hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle and the 3rd strongest ever to hit the US mainland. Those in Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia need to be aware of wind and rainfall as it tracks up the east coast. Here's crazy video from ABC News as they were covering landfall live yesterday:

That storm is bad! I used to have to go work in those places after that stuff hit.
If I can find them I took a few photo's of the destruction in Joplin back in 2011.
The one thing that makes your heart break is when you see a sign painted on plywood, that says some like blank ______________ call Blank _________________ I miss you or I love you.
I saw one of those down there. Never forgot that.

Good morning guys.
It was in the 30s this morning
Here's a very recent video of Michigan's Upper Peninsula fall colors this year - this is near Marquette

Went to the Frankensteiners car show today too close out the season. Over 1100 cars made it a great day even though it started in the low 40"s and windy. Event helped local food shelf and everyone brought treats for the kids. Seen about 20 Montes all generations 1 and 3 with one black gen 6 The blue 1970 was one of my favorites

Got lots of positive words about the car. And on the way out it was suggested to do a burn out in honor of Dale on the road out.Yep the skeeters are pretty much gone , going out this morning to set up deer stands.

well we got some snow here!!
So I got home form Church, and breakfast and the Snow was flying and the first photo's I took about 10:AM or so and the next ones I took at 12:45AM so we had a bit of accumulation looking to be near 3 inches. I hope this isn't a sign we will have a Real Winter this year.

Good morning guys. Wife and I went to Saugatuck, MI this weekend for our 1-year anniversary and stayed one night at a place right on Lake Michigan.
Top 15 matchup - Michigan plowed over Wisconsin on Saturday 38-13 and thus moved up 8 spots - now #6 in the rankings! Their next game is the big Michigan (#6) vs. Michigan State (#24) game this Saturday.
Michigan Monte Carlo Club was at a car show in Howell, MI this past Saturday. Nice day, chilly morning that started off in the upper 30s. There was 435 cars total. I did not attend but we had five cars representing our Club (1 1st Gen, 3 4th Gens and 1 3rd Gen). Two took home class awards.
Thanks for sharing! Always nice to see some Montes.
Good, keep that stuff down there! No signs of snow here in SE MI in the near future but the Upper Peninsula has had accumulating snow already and Northern Lower MI also had some snow this past weekend.
