Thank you for the compliment. I am very happy. He has gone the extra mile on this one, taking it completely apart. Just got more. Now he is putting it back together.
I get that a lot from my pops, he's got a 57 Tbird and a 59 Corvette with bigger engines. Those Preludes really are fun to drive though.
Back on topic, that color is absolutely majestic and she is looking FRESH man
Appreciate that. I think it's a pretty rare car. Never have seen SC MC in Laser Blue Metallic. It's almost purple at times. I pick it up Sunday. Will post more pics then.
Find you are Malibu LTZ with the V6. You will forget about Preludes....

Nah man I've got my supercharged, intercooled Monte and a stock 99 Z34 for the mid-sized life, also have a truck, a van, and an SUV... All automatic. Time for something compact, stick shift, and sports-car like now.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product in the sun!

Just hit a snag. He managed to get the Supercharged emblems off in one piece, but when tried to glue them back on they fell apart. There are some on Ebay for $113.50 EACH! One pair of used ones for less than $100. I wonder how the factory put them on? Why can't someone scan these and cut new ones out of metal and chrome them?

Factory badges had cut 3M emblem tape already on the back of the emblems. Just had to peel and stick. Was super easy when I bought new silver Monte Carlo emblems and replaced my black ones.

That is what my painter said. Well I guess I bite the bullet and grab those new ones. Don't know why someone couldn't scan these into a computer and get them cut out of metal. That would save me having to do this, and a lot of other people in the future that need these after painting. Thanks very much.
