Well here we go. Have to let it cure for two weeks before polishing, but this is the first look since I got it back.
Hood is just picking up sunlight. It's not scratched.
That is a really nice color, congrats. I just missed out on a set of those wheels for cheap at the Pick n Pull this weekend, they came in on an Impala and I was only looking for MCs. Are your wheels painted or just bead blasted?

Those came off of an Impala LTZ. Grabbed them for $140. Didn't touch them. Looked brand new. What a steal. Then I got a brand new set of Toyo's that had been driven a total of two blocks before the guy got T-boned. Gave $250 for all four. Sometimes you just get lucky. I watch Facebook a lot and get some great steals, especially for MCs. Factory stock.
So here is a deal I found for the engine beauty cover. These are decals. Wish I had painted the cover first now. They were $30. Decals
So then I saw on this forum where Phoenix Graphics made some decals that say "Supercharged". I ordered a pair, and they were $70, about half of the factory cost, and ready to be applied. Worst part was they came rolled up in a very small box. They are not flat, they do have a raised texture to them, but not as much as the factory one.
So after a few weeks to let the paint cure, I took it back to Taylor and got the final polish done for $250. I spent hours waxing it after this but don't have pics yet. The first pic isn't good, because I shot it when I drove up and saw if for the first time. It was taken through my window. Sorry about the finger.
So got a great paint job, and also he killed all the rust, fixed the places underneath that had done damage, got the ground effects back on, and repaired the damaged wheel opening. I bought new fenders because the rust was so bad on the originals. So the bottom line on this redo is going to hit around $5,000, and I don't even want to think how many hours I spent before and after. All part of the fun. The "before" picture.
