Ahhh Haaaa.. got to the pics today!!
The first pic is me in one of Dale's cars at his dealership in Newton.

The second is Dale helping with the car on the transporter at Darlington SC in the fall of 1990..

And the last pic is of me and one of his cars at the Las Vegas NASCAR café in April 2001. It was a display set up in his honor after his death. That car was FULL of condolence cards!! I spent the day driving in the simulators!! It was awesome!

 

Whoa! Those are some good photos. I was in Vegas for the Race in 99. We were staying downtown and this one night we were in that Lazer covered area in the downtown area. I got swarmed by bunches of fans, turn out Dale was downtown somewhere playing poker they said. Then during the Busch race Jr. was driving a special paint car, I think and everybody around my group was just going nuts cause I was there. That night we were out for dinner and the folks in our group were laughing about all the people stopping to take pictures of me.
I was trying to watch the Race but it was a Zoo again.

Got a little off the subject there sorry for that. It's a weakness any way these photo's explore the tail end, spoiler, and the front fender emblem. That most popular driver thing was won by Bill Elliot for so many years, so it was awarded to Dale sr. posthumously.










The dealership emblem on left rear of the Car has changed here to the signature Dale, I think the spoiler looks great with the special bracing rods.

 

Cool pics I rember seeing you guys in Blue Springs Ne about 7-8 years ago. Then at car show in York ne we sat and talked for a long time I had my El Camino back then.

 

I remember Blue Springs, they had me there and they took donations to take a picture with me and gave all the money to the Crisis Pregnancy Center, the lady told me that they got some good donations for that cause.
They also had a US Senator down there who came over to talk with me, he is a friend of mine. He was an is a Eagle Scout and so is my son, and he came over to ask about him.
Now that was kind of kool.

 

Here are a few interior shots, the one I drove was very user friendly and everything was in view just the way I liked it. I was even playing with the paddle shifter, on it. The visibility is a bit condensed, and I thought the door to window seal was kind of unique but may have some issues down the road?
I would like to have a set of the floor matts from this thing.

 

Hmm... some ideas for my Camaro maybe.

Freaky really, some day's you can go along and nobody notices and the next day you can't make a move with out someone noticing.
Dale had the most recognized face in Racing.
Believe me I know, I can also match photo's from all the way back before elementary school.
We were the same age too.
