This last Carshow I went to still didn't take my Monte Carlo got to finish it first. Red Ryder didn't get a win here either. Participant Judging is all about who you know.
So after the Trophy presentation this Gal walks over and is B*tchen at me that my Car is dirty and she doesn't like the Stripes I got on it.
She says she has one same color but I need Black wheels and all.
She was some where under 30 and she was drunk besides. I never experienced that before!?!? haha
I was trying to get everything in the car so I could leave. Then a friend of hers brought her another drink and they left together, that was a great rescue. anyway here are a few more photo's on the first ones with the Black Pontiac anyone know where you get those strut tower braces in the billet look?

To me, they appear to be Don Rome braces (DR Custom Parts). You don't see them come up for sale often, I dont think a ton were made. He was a lot more famous for his strut tower brace adapter plates. He's of course been out of the game for a long time, probably well north of a decade now.
Not that Id ever reccomend them, but LS4King did release some a few years back. Not nearly as nice - no recessed pockets and squared off ends. Id tried to find a link, but it looks like his whole store is shut down at this point.
TBH, if you're seriously interested in getting some, these are super simple parts to have made. Any local machine shop with a long enough bed can easily do it, they'd just need 5 minutes with your stock ones to pull the critical dimensions from. It's of course not going to be cheap as the billet block big enough to make them from is pretty pricey, but if it's a high enough volume shop, they'll be able to make other customers parts out of the remainder.

Well I got some of the originals that I have been working on and once I get them fairly close I want to add some polished aluminum material to it and make it look nice.
You really go all out on your car show setup - looks really nice!
Sometimes the Carshow folks offer an award for Best display and I have gotten that before. I was at this one in a little town in NE and there were a total of 6 Cars in my class I was shocked that they called my name for the 1st place trophy. When the guy handed it to me he said now don't run off?!?
They called me for the Best display of the show!
So what I take is Flags I have two poles that are a nascar tailgate style, I fly my American Flag ( because I am a Vet and also because my Son is an Eagle Scout, I used to be an assistant Scout Master so it just a natural thing. The other flag is a Dale E. Flag that should be self explanatory, lol Then I have that rug with the 3 Car on it, that Remote Control 3 Car is like 3 foot long and it used to belong to a friend of mine who passed away, his wife said he wanted me to have it! It doesn't have the Battery for it so it is just static. Then I had found the Dale Jr one and I display it too. I also have a 3 rug and Then a funky little Ceramic Car that looks like a Cartoon version of a MC it looks kinda cool.
There used to be this Lady who would come to carshows with a Bright Redish-Pink Challenger 71 or 72 nice ride. She would use at least 3 spaces for here display. She had a Mini Challenger, and a few Pink panthers A 3 foot tall Barbie. It was fun just to go see it all.
Her husband had a pickup that he displayed and he would haul all the display stuff. Fun Fun Fun.
Keeps you out of the Bars. haha

[QUOTE=drivernumber3;736115]Well Thank you !!
You night call it the short story for the Modification Book I have. I always check those out at a Carshow but I don't see to many folks pick them up.
Here is a better picture of the Story Board. I set it on the workbench to take this photo. I just used a piece of Masonite and wrapped it in Carbon Fiber material and then got a cheap frame at a 2nd hand store.
Made the collage using photo's I printed from the computer.
The first one I did was a PVC panel and the heat from the sun warped it. (on to plan B Lol)
The thing will probably need to be redone every season because the photo's will fade.
But that keeps it up to date too.
I finally got the maintenance stuff all done and this weekend will be a Carshow to visit.
We shall see how I do.
I don't think having one of them done professionally will help me just because of the way these shows do the Judging. The attraction is the display stuff the crowd will stop to see that, after all it's a SHOW so gotta show it. I enjoy watching those Car restoration shows on TV and Dave on Bitchn Rides always makes a nice display for his Cars.
But if I wanted to do the style he does I would need a Van to haul all the stuff along.
I have a few friends that have trailers to take their cars in.
I got to do it on the Cheap because the wife hates this hobby of mine.
Maybe someday I can score on the Lottery haha.
