Actually I did it myself, my first one was a display board from the 80's that I inherited from a company that I worked for, it had a Red felt back ground and I put Velcro on the back of the photo's that were on foam board. but it gets beat up.
So then I change it up and used a framed glass over board, I build a stand that I could drive over and put under one tire. 2 piece item.
I put up the flags and they have a drive onto pole mount. So a few years ago I got a new pole because the ones I was using were borrowed.
This pole was fiberglass and was guaranteed not to break but it did 2 flags on one pole and the wind was to strong, snap!! and it was junk. But I kept the stand, so then I found a new device to use it was the adjustable base for a dish unit. so now I can set it up and adjust it out. Here are the 2 different stand that I made, I arrange the photos on it like a collage. Around here just about everyone that goes to a carshow will bring the favorite trophy's with them and display them. As you can see it is not a Concurs setting just old towns, lol.
The two Nascar cars are the 1/10 scale RC cars neither work but display nice.

Charm the judge and be polite and they will every time take the time to hear what you have to say and what you have to show them.
Best in Class European and Best in Class British in same day.

Yeah well they bring past trophies all the time up here in Nebraska and Iowa too.
I have been asked to be a Judge in the past and when I did that, I liked to interview the owner of the Car.
But I was only choosing the Best of Shows for that car-show.
Girls are good a charming the Judge but guys not so much. Now if there are Lady Judges I can be charming to them but that is few and far between.
I went to a small town show last year and it was a fund raiser for the High School cheerleaders and they were also the judges they were kinda skipping over my Car and I stopped to show them what I had done to it and it resulted in a good award.

I have this friend that has deep pockets and he brings a fancy car to the shows all the time last year was a Ford Daytona, this year he has a GT-40 he is extremely hurt if he doesn't score a trophy. On any given weekend he will do a show on Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes he gets 2 trophies.
Shows that are only a Top Ten I don't bother with as I don't have a top ten car. The people who run them always ask me to be there but I have told them you need to get more awards so I have a little better odds.
We have a local club and we do a show in June but those folks that enter know that the club members aren't allowed to enter their cars which is good we bring them to display them but that is it.
So far this year it has been so Hot that I have only went to 3 shows, did okay one that had over 300 cars I got a 3rd with Red Ryder. I have been working on my MC and getting it closer for some shows.

Today was a nice "show," actually, an Auto Fair and the cars were just displayed. My Monte displayed well with a lot of looky-loos. All nice comments.
Complete with show board, 1/24 Number 8 diecast, Dale Jr. book and notebook with documentation.

Although before my time, an original Esso tiger tail drew a lot of attention.

I like that drive over style - really looks professionally done, especially with how neatly done the collage is.

Well Thank you !!
You night call it the short story for the Modification Book I have. I always check those out at a Carshow but I don't see to many folks pick them up.
Maybe if I would put on a lanyard and attach it to the Story board instead of laying it under the hood on top of the engine cover.

I remember those they were a giveaway at the EXON stations Tiger in your tank back when I live out in CA. There was a Union 76 antenna ball at one time as well, I think the DX station had something as well. Seems like back then the various stations brands always had promotions to give away. I think my Dad had a Union 76 antenna topper.. Pretty cool.

Its been a while since I checked in to the page. Working out of state really puts a damper on the car shows. I have been fortunate enough to win a few shows, but still enjoy just hanging out with the people. Meeting others on this page is definitely a joy.

That's the best for sure - it's like meeting an old friend that you've never even seen before. I really miss the old Ultimate Monte Meets and Intense Drag Days. Got to meet so many forum members in person.

Yes , I’ve enjoyed the friendships that the car community has provided. Wish I could meet all the people I’ve connected with throughout the years.

August 23,25 in Touhy, Nebraska. This town is about the size of a Walmart store including the parking lot.
I went to a Carshow with the local club members from our town, I think there was 5 of us there.
It was a Participant Judging thing and I never win at those.
But I talked to some folks and there were several that remembered me. I sold some wheels for a Car I haven't had for several years so I can get them out of the Garage.
I took Red Ryder because the MC still has to have the Brakes in the rear done, that will be this weeks project. Here are a few of the ones that I liked.

55 Chevy Pick up short box
1962 Chevy Impala white

Nice custom 55 Chevy 1ton Truck in Blue long box

1954 Chevy Belair

1972 Chevelle Heavy Chevy

1st Gen Camaro

1955 Belair 2dr post

50's Ford pickup

72 Monte Carlo

76 Monte Carlo

1970 Chevelle in Red

Nice 72 Mustang Mach 1

86 Pontaiac 2+2 Aero coupe
