Not really. With those 60' times, I would have thought you would've been in the 15.4-15.6 range.

i ran my 04 ss na at the track about 2 wks ago... ive got cai and exhaust but no tune yet.... my best time was 15.989 @ 86... so ur not far off w/ the tune....thats about the range you should get....

to boost ur times a bit more.... a few suggestions

1) lower your tire pressure on the front wheels about 3-5 lbs... I wouldn't go much lower than that...you have to make sure that the tread contact points with the ground are even so that the tire doesn't bow out or the middle of the tireisnt the only thing in contact w/ the ground.... look at the pic below for a better guide

2) take your engine cover off and lift your hood inbetween runs to cool the engine a bit more
3) if the inspectors let you... take your driver's side headlight out to get better airflow to the cai
4)PRACTICE your launch!!!

hmmm, I'm surprised to find they my 97 Z should be right in there with the 3.8's... even a bit faster in a perfect world. I'm enjoying this thread as a "prep" tool.

No chirp is what I've been trying to get at the strip, but I haven't achieved it yet.

Some will argue that a little bit of tire spin to keep the RPM's up on low horsepower applications is actually a good thing, and if it hooks and bogs that it will run slower. Well, tell me that when I can launch my car at ~2300rpm without blowing the tires off of it.

i've heard that chrip doesn't really hurt you... it's a constant spin that does.
