Stoopid Cooper faster?

Stoopid Cooper faster?
Anyone "run" a "Stoopid Cooper" with the 4cyl Supercharged?I would think that the 2007 5.3 SS would take care of that
in a "heartbeat"... or even the Supercharged V-6...
I have a neighbor w/a 2002 "Stoopid Cooper" & he thinks he can
take just about any newer/older stock performance car...
He told me he did 173 on the KS Speedway! Uh-Duh-uuhh?
I asked if he was talking about KPH ? No. he said that it was
173 mph! ...Right.
When I was younger - I went in a '69 DeTomaso Mangusta &
we got it up to about 168 mph when it started to lift off the ground.
Had this happen with some older vettes as well...
Come on! Get real!

Mini Cooper
Yes, a Mini Super Cooper. I really have nothing against those cars.
I know they are quick. I have gotten in habit of calling it a "stoopid
Cooper" because of my neighbor...

Hi Mark,
I think it would be a good race with a stock
3.8L Monte, and a SuperCharged Monte, or V8 SS
would smoke a Mini
I like the Mini Street GoKarts : ), but they are
more about handling, then raw power.
I think your neighbor was smok'in zomething 4-Sure.

Just makin sure that's what you were talkin about, I agree with both of you guys. For one if it's stock they top out at somewhere around 130 mph and again if it's stock, the speedometer only goes to 150. They're good on handling but that's about it really, not dissin the Mini but I'm not a fan. That's all I'm gonna say....

Really? That's about what yer Monte runs? Is it totally stock or what? Cuz mine is pretty worn out and has a couple problems I haven't fixed yet but it still seems like it would run a 1/4 mile a lil quicker than that. I do have a custom intake, chip, and freed up my exhaust a lil but that stuff doesn't help THAT much. I noticable difference but still....

I have not run on the track so I dont know the exact numbers. The 95 Z34s were tested at 7.8 0-60 and 15.5 in the 1/4. You would be hard pressed to run better than that without a few mods unfortunately. The fasted N/A z34 I have seen was Dave's (Z34pheonix) 96 Z34. He is running a 14.81 in the 1/4 with an intake, exhaust, some serious P&P work, wideband, underdrive pulley and a tune. 15s are pretty good for a 3500lb car with an auto trans. The supercharged montes only run high 14s in the 1/4 stock.

Maybe it's just the sound that makes me feel like I'm goin faster, my intake makes my little 3.4 roar like an 8.1 vortec. No joke, if my exhaust was really quiet I'd take a video, post it and you'd understand. It makes me happy, sorry. It whistles when hit the gas too, a couple people have actually asked me if a put a turbo kit on my car.
