I finally got to race my friend in his nissan sentra SER spec-vafter i got all my goodies on a while ago and we went form a 50 roll. i put the monte in 2, three honks i get infront of him by a car and i slowly gain about half a car by 110.

This is the first time that i have beat him, i was pretty excited to say the least, he wasn't though.Before he would normally pull on me pretty hard and win by at least 2 or 3 cars, so now i know there is more power and it was worth every cent.

Good win, what color is it? I'm still waiting on my buddy to race me in his 07 Spec V, that thing is really torquey and from 1st to 2nd it will break the tires loose. I raced him once kinda, we were coming off a corner and he jumped on it I waited until he was at my bumper and punched it, didn't downshiftand he onlygot a bumper on me before he stopped pulling. Oh yeah Isaw youSat. nightturning into K's, those HID's look good,when there coming at youthey look blue. If I had my car I would have turned around and came in and maybe get a race from you, lol.

 

It is white and i think it is a 2002. yeah i was only up there for a little than i went to a poker tournement about 20 min after i got up there.

yeah i think that if we did line up it would be pretty close because the kid in the spec-v raced a G6 gtp and went dead even with him and it has the 3.9. so it would be a good race for sure.

 

I have racing questions because I'm a newb! Why did you put it in 2nd? Do you always put it in 2nd to race? Do you turn off your traction control when you race? When you race from a stop do you rev it to 3k? If from a stop do you have it in 1st?

 

if you put this car in first and floor it, it'll just shift to second like normal... it'll bounce off hte rev limiter when it runs out of second though. you can pull a little more power out of it by keeping it in second longer.

 

Even if the trans is still in First ... it will shift out of First into Second? You don't have to slide the Shift Lever forward into Second to have the trans shift?

 

I put it in 2 becasue it is just like down shifting amanual car. The rpm would go to about 3500-4000Rpm so you are in your powerband.

I only put itin second because we were at 50 mph, at 30mph i would have it in 1 for the same reason as above.

i turn off the traction when a race from a stop. but from a roll there is no point in turning it off unless you are putting down some serious power were you can spin your tires while your moving.

from a stop i put it at about 2300rpms, 3000rpms i would just sit there and spin my tires.

from a stop i just leave it in drive.
