Hey Silver, what size tires do you have? Are they on the factory SS wheels? Reason im asking is because i have a set of 18 in SS wheels and trying to decide to go with the stock size 235 50 18 or a low pro tire. Just have to wait for tax money then i'll be on the hunt for tires, just tryin to get an idea.

Sick monte bro, gotta love a FWD V8. Monte Rollin'

SilverMonteSS, that's a great looking car you have. I just picked up a black 06 SS. I'm glad to see some real impresive numbers from this car. The only downfall is the MPGs, but it is a trade that is worth making. The car looks great in silver too. What plans do you have for it? I have already made quite a few threads on here with my plans, so far all are visual, but I would like to get the K&N Intake, Magnaflow cat-back, and the DiabloSport Predator tune. Good luck man. I look forward to seeing your future results and plans.

Your buddies Camaro only did 13.9 in the 1/4? Can he not drive. I have 2 buddies with Z28's the 98 auto ran a 13.56 with just a catback, and the 00 6speed, stock ran a 13.47 which I ran that number. And new stock GT's, stick has ran dead even with my buddies 98 tell they hit 4th gear. Congrats on the car though, there are some factory freaks out there. I had a 97 Sierra, 5.7L Vortec and I would blow away identical trucks. When I got done with it, it would run low 14's and that is just K&N intake, true duals, traction bars, 373 posi.Mustangs andLT1Camaro's hated that truck.

As for my recent plans my buddy works at supertune performance down here in Kansas city.. A couple of people I have talks to said that just doing a simple tune on the factory motor you can free up a lot of power. My dad has a 2008 g8 gt which I took there and he went from 381 horsepower to 427 horsepower just with a tune.. So as far as plans for the monte I'm looking at full exhaust including real dual exhaust instead of the y pipe they put on a 5.3 v8 which makes no sense it pissed me off and then a tune lol. Anyone know where to get a set of slp headers for the 06 5.3 v8? Thanks guys!

Your right most ls1 camaros run mid 13 to low 13s but new and old gt mustangs are slow and will never keep up on the highway or at the track or on the highway! As for my monte when it warms up I'll post videos of me racing my buddies ss and every idiot who thinks they can hang LOL I can't wait for warm weather!

That's awesome. Good luck with the custom tune and the true duals. I was considering just replacing the stock mufflers with straight pipe and have the tip welded back on. I'm sure it wouldn't do much for performance, but it would proabably sound a hell of a lot better. Keep us posted on your progress.
