well I was doing a physics project on acceleration for physics, and we decided to use our cars\bikes. I brough the monte carlo, he brought the others. We used a side street... outcomes as follows...

2003 Monte Carlo SS Vs. 79' firebird - Win (beat his old V8) my time was 9.2 his was 10.7 (65mph)
2003 Monte Carlo SS Vs. Honda 550 bike -WIN- ran 8.7, bike was 9.4 (70mph)
2003 Monte Carlo SS V.s Formula 1 (Vee) Racer - WIN!! ok well not so much... the guy hadnt driven it in a while, and needed the transmission rebuilt... he could shift into 2nd or 3rd. But MAN that thing is loud, and accelerated fast. The shift pattern in that thing was weird too. but I would love to get a chance to drive that thing.

These are unofficial and for .1 mile. I didnt get that good of a start either time, and I dont have any upgrades, except 150 lbs of audio equipment. I can get some pics of the race car if you want. thing was pretty cool. I'll probably see it again.

 

Nice, what did the Firebird have in it? What year is your car? With the bike I beat my buddies Yamaha 600 from a 55mph roll. And by a hundred I had him by lengths and still pulling away, he was pissed, lol and he got the jump first, lol.

 

I think it was a 350, Im not 100%, wasnt one of the bigger 8's chevy had at the time. Mine is a 2003 Monte Stock, no supercharger. They had an R1, but the guy is afraid to give it full throttle, said the thing goes 210. That is one bike I would not want to race.

 

OK, those old 350's at that time didn't really have the power that they did in the 60's and early 70's. Those R1's are crazy fast and I believe the 210, a guy I work with has a CBR 929 and he has done 193 before he shut it down. I wouldn't race it either
