i wouldnt waste my time with the lt1 if your going to do that might as well stick with the motor you have.

ive seen people run a conventional distributor on them. personally i just think it would be pointless unless he had one already. then again if its a drag car i think it would be pointless to switch to a lsx motor with a stick. his gen 1 already has good heads on it, just needs a cam, gearing and stall. switching to an lsx is going to change everything. headers, exhaust, tranny, gearing etc etc. if anything id try and get the current combo to run the best it can with as little money as possible and then figure out exactly what the plan with the car is going to be. oh and enzo the sig is funny. i just keep seeing this hairy fat man sliding by on the home made slip and slide. lol

I'd say some good gears and a cam would help a lot.

You need to figure out what exactly you have first.
It sounds like you might have a slipping tranny too.
