They have fabed up RWD and a LS6 in a few but the cost is out the roof. Also I have seen a 96 Grand Prix like mine with and LS7 and RWD. So if you got a large bank account anything is possible.

Not a monte exactly, but I have taken my GP GXP to the track. For the most part, it's the same car. Only mods were a CAI and exhaust cutout just after the cat.
Car ran 14.0XX-14.2 through the night at 98-100.XX mph.
Couldn't squeeze 13.999 out of it, as the night got colder, the engine made more power, but traction started going downhill- especially once the sun set. Once I broke 100 mph, I was happy enough to call it quits. Haven't taken it back since the car is virtually the same as it was then.
I would imagine some fresh front tires, or some minor weight mods would've got it to break the 13.999 barrier too.
