I2001 Jetta 5 speed stick, 2001 Monte 3400. about 1/2 mile to go before getting on the highway, I pull up next to another young kid with a 2001 Jetta with a nice shiny sticker. The 5 speed took me off the line by about a car length, my monte hit 4500 rpm, shifted gears and and started to gain ground, by the time we needed to slow down for the next red light we were damn near even. We started up again on I-81 from a 50 roll, and I blew Him away. Both got to 115 and slowed down, but I had him easily from 60 and up. right now i have a DHP PCM and U bend delete, I could hear he definitly had exhaust work done and some Intake mods, But we had em. Tak Another on the wall

Ive only raced in my monte a few times the most recent one is out by the city airport last weekend, I raced a 1999 ford focus and wow was i dissapointed.... I got blown out of the water...I figured it was some punk kid who went and got a muffler from autozone and was now a "RACER" well i guess i should have known better when i saw the laptop mounted to the dash....My monte is pretty quick i have taken grand prix's, the v6 mustangs and a few bonnevilles.... This thing ate me for dinner... I couldnt believe it we were at a red light on a two lane service drive and the light turned green i got a better light but he had that thing rapped up like a crotch rocket.... Speechless....

 

wow, i wouldn't think you'd have any problem with a focus, i can beat v8 mustangs and v8 chevy cars and trucks quiete easily so i wouldn't think a focus would be too hard, i'm still looking really forward to getting my supercharger pulley on and then see what else i can beat
