Default First real race in my monte.

Now I know its dangerous but i try to be as careful as possible while racing. I make sure to know the road and hazards and I make sure the other driver does to. My co-worker wanted to go at me in his stock mazda 3. So I said let go. We first did a chase he started out and I followed. I passed him in second gear around 60 mph and stopped at the fire station while he kept going and decided to try and power his rear in around and almost went in the ditch. So he races back to the bridge were we started and I waited for him to stop messing around. I then asked if we wanted to drag. He agreed and so I asked him if he could not pull the crap he did after the race. I didnt want him hurting him self or his car. He said he would be fine so I let it go. We went back down to the fire station and lined up. I was in the opposite lane. I had trac off and had the shifter in 3rd. I had my foot on the brake and gas. he honked 3 times and I launched way in front of him with a little spin. I kept pulling ahead and went back in the right lane and slowed down before the finish line on the bridge because traffic was on the way and I didnt want to endanger anyone. We go back to the meeting spot but not before he e-brakes around a couple corners. I hope he dosnt wreck that nice car. My monte has a ceramic coated powerlog and a k and n air filter in the box.

Honestly Monte's are slow. Bottom line... As big and heavy as my Silverado is, it would beat my Monte anyday bone stock

I agree they are slow. But it is still fun. I like the 3800 for its reliability and mild power. What I really want is an 89 SHO turbocharged 5 speed conversion.
