So tonight I racked up my first kill for crystal.

Against my neighbours 03 GTP, with a smaller pulley.

We lined up on the old hwythats been abandoned for years. Our sentry at the entrance calls in and tells us were good to go. The wifey lines us up and starts us off.

I had him in the hole, no problem. He spun like a madman trying to grab some ashphalt, my traction control light lit a few times. In reality he probably spun for just a few blinks of an eye. At this time I was just a lenght ahead when I saw he gained ground on the 1-2 upshift I just had to do at 90kph. He was at the door when I started creeping away, he told me later, this was his 1-2 upshift.At the end of it all he couldnt get back up to the door and ended up being on my rear quarter at the end of the race.

I imagine if he had a better hook up he might have kept up better, but thats life..


A neon came up and wanted to challenge me, so I elected to humour him. I think it was a 95 or 99 neon. I never did figure out where he went. We got about halfway down the track, and when I finished he wasnt there. At all. I dont count it as a victory, as it was an unfair fight to begin with, and he didnt finish for whatever reason.

Crystal is a virgin no more! lol

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, your car is an 06 with the 3.5 engine, and you beat an 03 Pontiac with the 3.8 supercharged V6???

The 03 GTP's have 240hp, 280 lb/ft of torque and weigh 3384lbs.
The 06 LT's have 211hp, 220 lb/ft of torque and weigh 3395lbs.

If it wasnt for the spin (and the 400 lbs of stereo gear he has in the trunk) He would have had me.
Its not like I beat him by much. Its not like i took him by 6 lenghts..

Its not always the car that makes the race guys.. Its also the driver.

 

Which makes me wonder.. How much do you think he would have won by if he had hooked up properly? His is a 03 GTP, 3800 S/c with a smaller pulley. I think a 2.5" he said? I think? Modified pcm. Its basically the same as an SS supercharged in terms of weight?

Well I guess we will see shortly. Just got off the phone with him, and he'd like a rematch tonight. Apparently hes got some new skins on the rims. Wish me luck! (Kinda as good as tellin a kamikazee that you'll see him after the mission! lol)

Well, I highly doubt he was running a 2.5" pulley. Perhaps 3.5". Anyone able to run smaller than a 2.8" pulley has done some SERIOUS modifications, and had that been the case, you wouldn't have even had the chance to read his license plate. He would have been GONE.
