I read about this somewhere... according to Car & Driver (I think), the car runs a 15.1. However, in the Timeslips section of hte forum (next to "My Profile" at the top of the page, here are a couple of tiem slips from members of this forum.

RE: average 1/4 mile time of a s/c monte?
high 13s are easy to get with a solid and safe3.4" pulley setup. Cost: ~500 to 1000for most of the parts.
Any faster, it gets more expensive, exponentially. I'm in the mid 12s, though I know under the perfect conditions, it's a mid/low 12 second car.

Hi `Jason,Below is from Topic Post Monte Carlo ReviewsIt's a older test report by Car & Driver, and I don't think they had a good driver : )But, it should give you some idea on times/speed....I think the SC is fasterthen reported. RE: average 1/4 mile time of a s/c monte?
i actually just had my Intimidator out this last weekend as a little treat before finals (i somehow found a 1/4 mile in South Dakota! i was SOOO happy!)... anyway, let out pressure in front (to 30) and was running on less than 1/4 tank of gas with my driver's side headlight out (intake breathed A LOT better and my car stayed below the 1/2 way mark on the temp. gauge), no spare, no frills... 14.841 best time! (only k&n intake and 3" exhaust work)...
The slip looked like this:
RT: .323
I1: 2.214
I2: .000
I3: 9.520
MPH (I3): 73.270
I4: 12.325
E.T.: 14.841
MPH: 91.837
M.O.V.: .494
WIN <1st>
(and p.s. ... it was my first time ever at a track! i absolutely loved EVERY minute and fully intend to go back this summer)

you mean you loved every second

i even jumped in a class {sport compact} and gave bracket racing a shot! (didn't cost any more and a girl w/ a blue cobalt talked me into it!)
oh, did i mention, it was all into a strong headwind? we had sustained winds that day of 25-35 mph! [:'(][:@][>:][&:]
it was ridiculous... oh well, i'll get another go in a couple of weeks; too bad it's so far and gas is so much! [:@]

(and i left my traction control on until i connected... problem?)

somewhat.... the traction control uses parts of your brake system to keep the wheels from spinning. i'd have to say it hurts your some. its better to let them spin a little, and that traction control will try to stop a chirp. i'd say turn it off

RE: average 1/4 mile time of a s/c monte?
i read somewhere that na montes that get "top swaped" to its supercharged form are a bit faster then the montes that were born blown is this true and what would be a good guess as to how much faster and 1/4 mile times
