Has anyone with either raced the other?

I know the newer one would win but by how much.

yea i know the stats of both, but i never read of anyone racing the other, and i have never raced the V8 one's. i have lined up with them a few times but they didnt gas it.

im really thinking of trading my 04 sc monte for a newer one.
i think the newer ones look better and they are a V8.

 

i saw online stats 0 to 60 in 5.5 maybe 5.6 (found out afterwards same as the turbo pontiac solstice i was looking at before decided on monte cause of the v8)
high 13 low 14 for quarter
ill find out when i get some spare cash to take her to the local strip..

I have a 2006 V8 SS and once raced a 2002 GTP (w/sc 3.8)on the highway (but not froma dead stop) We both got on the ramp at the same time but he was right in-front of me. As soon as I could get over I got like 3 to 4 car spaces ahead of him easy. He is my friend and as soon as I was about 4 cars ahead of him he called my cell to ask me if my car is stock or did i do some work to it. My car is stock and his too.

 

The V8 will win the 1/4 stock, but the 3800 can be easily modified to quickly fly by it.

Think stage 4 or 5 kit from 3800performance.com or an equivalent setup.
