Default 2004 supercharge ss vs. 2003 mustang gt

A friend of mine has been asking to race me in his gt. my current mods are only a k&n cai, but i think i can take him in a 1/4. but im also about to purchase a catback, downpipe, powerlog, cam, lowering springs, drop to a 3.4 pulley, and get a custom tune from pro com racing in NJ. my question is should i try and take him now? or wait until the spring when i have all of my modifications done?

He's got 20 more HP and torque and is lighter, you should wait til you upgrade.
Although might as well give it a try, 1/4 mile is mostly driver skill anyway

Eh, give it a go now, and then go again after the mods.

I'm compelled to post: Take it to the Track

Don't risk your license/fines/attorney $'s,etc, but `if U do hit the streets,
make sure your ride & your opponents ride is safe with good tires/brakes, etc...

I hope you have a safe place with no incoming roads on the roads that you may line `up....

* I had to learn the hard way & I'm still paying high insurance

Be Smart/Safe/ Have fun & let us know about your WIN

watch free movie (It always makes me think b-4 I act)
I share, cause I care `bout my Monte Carlo Family...

i say race him now and then again after mods to see the difference.... and also if it were me i would buy headers instead of a plog and downpipe.

My advise,
Race him at the strip... Not the streets!
