Default 02 Monte Carlo SS vs. 2010 TSX VTEC

My boss's sun drives a 2010 Acura TSX with a vtec equipped with a aFe cold air intake. One day driving back from work we got next to eachother on HWY 16 with two clear lanes for a mile. 3 Honks and we both stepped on it. *BBWAAHHHH* you can hear the TSX VTEC roaring instantly (as he had tectonic shifting) and at the same time in auto my Monte shifted from 4th to second and jerked me ahead of him a little. Started at 70 mph. At 80mph he was slightly ahead of me but at 80 mph my extra two cylinders gave me the power i need and by 90 mph i pulled in front of him. After awhile of me being in front i slowed down to 70 mph. I then saw him coming up on me so i stepped on it and pulled away from him. There again his vtec went roaring but he couldnt even gain on me.

Tip: When being silly with your car, put it in 3. You do NOT want to let your torque converter be a part of anything, and 4th is a really weak spot on these transmissions.

Also, stick to a track

Ive noticed 4th is very weak but isnt it bad for the tranny to use the manual overdrive? Besides i get way more pick up letting my car down shift to second.
