WTB: 98-99 Monte carlo Z-34 w/under 60,000 mi
I know I'm looking for a somewhat "rare bird" so I am willing to fly to find the right car and drive it back if needs be (I live around Lancaster, PA). I'm willing to pay the extra money for the extra low miles since I want a nice car. Here's some stipulations the car must meet:
1. It must have under 60,000 miles (no cars with 200k on the clock and a 30k motor)
2. No keying marks or large dents
3. No peeling clear coat or faded paint
4. No rust
5. No tan interior (I don't care whether it has a cloth or leather interior as long as it doesn't have dryrot and/or fading occurring).
6. Must be a non-smoker's car.
Things I am ok with that might surprise you:
1. It is ok if the car has been in a collision, as long as everything has been properly fixed(if you have photos from before the collision work was done that would be a plus), and proper paint matching done.
2. I'm fine with an R-title car (reconstructed title) as long as it hasn't been flooded. Keep in mind before I fly out I would like to have the VIN to check with CARFAX.
3. It's alright if the motor has been converted to the supercharged version as long as the replacement components had 60k or under on them and it wasn't a "hack job" installation.
Any help in finding a car that meets these specs would be greatly appreciated (friends, dealers, etc.). I have been digging all over craigslist with only one possible result so far. My Dad got his college education as a car mechanic so you can be sure I will be thoroughly looking the car over. Messages through here or calling me on my cell at 717-873-2506 are gladly welcomed. My name is Andy. Thank you for all of your help.
