Default wtb 2004 Monte Carlo Supercharged Dale Jr. Edition

Looking to get one of these for a reasonable price. Possibly high mileage. I have 5500 so far. Does anyone know somebody that is selling one.

Hi guys well I found a pretty good deal on a dale jr. The only thing is it was in a fender bender and the man said it had a rebuilt title. He said there was no damage to the frame and he had it repaired. What does rebuilt title necesarily mean? Hes gonna give me the vin tomorrow as today he was away from the car and couldnt...so I havent ran a car fax. He said the car has about 73,000 miles. WHat do you guys think? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Happy New Years to All!

Dunno, rebuilt title sounds something like it was wrecked so bad that the insurance company thought it would cost more to fix then it was worth it, called it a total and he bought it back and repaired the damage. Sounds kind of iffy to me I would steer clear but that's just me.

Have you searched autotrader.com or cars.com? I seem to recall seeing a number of them a few weeks back. Where you from, others might know of some in your area if we knew where you were.

Good luck and happy hunting!

*edit* Just did a quick search... 5500??? As in dollars??? The only one I saw below $10k had nearly 116,000 miles

well theres a couple within my area...im in san antonio so i would definately have to drive a couple hundred miles to see one. And the one Im lookin at... the man wants $7500 for it. But the only thing thats concerning from actually giving it a chance now is that rebuilt title. the man wants to sell it because he needs to pay off a tractor...well Im still waiting on the vin# but ill let you guys know.

Yea definetley anything with a rebuilt or salvage title means it was in a pretty serious wreck. Just like JAFO said it usually means it was more to fix the car than a replacement would be. Last time I checked rebuilt titles were only worth 30% of what a retail model in the bluebooks would be. So be careful with those cars. Good Luck!!

See where the wreck was on the car and look around for any signs that new parts werent used, like a rock chip on the front showing through another color like blue or something. Also take it to a body shop and have them check it out.
